"Empire State of Mind" Jay-Z feat. Alicia Keys

You can't help but think about NYC on New Years Eve! This year I will be watching the ball drop in Times Square from snowy Vail, Colorado. When it came to planning what to wear, I had to think about staying warm and also not splurging on a new outfit; a tendency of mine. This year I am recycling my Fighting Eel metallic strapless top, but to change it up I bought a new, inexpensive, long chain necklace. Every girl in Colorado learns to dress in layers so I am going to wear my boyfriend blazer over my top, staying trendy, and warm! I will finish off my new year's look with my JBrand skinny jeans and tall black boots. I love clutches, so I am re-using an oldie but a goodie that I bought over three years ago. I am really looking forward to 2010 and the new adventures I will embark upon. Thank you to everyone who made 09 a year I will never forget! No matter where I travel to or where I have lived, its like Jay-Z says, "[you can] tell by my attitude that I'm most definitely from NEW YORK!" Happy New Year everyone!

Welcome to “My Style Soundtrack,” my very first blog! My name is Linzi and I currently reside in Denver, Colorado. I am 25 years old, and have lived in the North and South, in the mountains and on the beach. Currently I am planning one more move to California! It was Jay-Z who pushed me through my first marathon, Michelle Branch helped me during a break-up, and Miles Davis is always with me when I sew.
